Sold with coffee in the mid 1930’s. Mason meant that the jar could be re-used for canning. Jars were made by the Ball factories in 1934. The original lid would have been a gold lacquered, tin-plated iron top-seal screw cap marked KINSELLA. The date 1874 may have been when H&K (Hanley and Kinsella) joined forces to start a company.
